About MacWeb

MacWeb is an internet cloud service renting on-demand compute capacity using dedicated Apple Mac computers.

About the project

I led a comprehensive brand update by defining and implementing a new design strategy while helping to build and mentor a stronger team. My work spanned the entire user experience ecosystem, from internal operational tools to customer-facing platforms. I selected and implemented a robust design system that ensured visual and functional consistency across all marketing and product offerings, aligning closely with Apple’s high standards for quality and simplicity.

Leveraging my background in coding and animation, I developed a dynamic new website and collaborated closely with the marketing team to align design initiatives with business goals. With a design approach rooted in performance metrics, I am proud to report a 50% sales increase in 2023 and a further 74% growth in the first quarter of 2024.

Other information

Having worked with the company previously, it was a pleasure to return and assist the founder and the team in this new phase of growth. I share the company's passion for Apple solutions and an uncompromising commitment to high-quality user experiences.

NOTE: Only a portion of my original work is visible on this portfiolo page. Since December 2025, MacWeb replaced the website I designed with a generic Bootstrap theme, resulting in a significantly reduced user experience. Beyond the UI, I also designed the cloud-server management dashboard and built a complete e-commerce flow with a Stripe backend. Unfortunately, much of this work was discarded after the company hired an inexperienced marketing manager who didn’t understand startup needs or product quality. It’s disappointing, given the time and passion I invested, but it’s a familiar Silicon Valley story: too many companies overlook user experience and let engineering-driven decisions dilute the quality.
