I designed the MVP version of a new self-service tool for Splunk customers. The goal was to empower customers to independently configure the correct server topology online, eliminating the need for manual consultations with the sales team and streamlining the sales process.

I served as the design lead for this project at Splunk's San Jose office, collaborating
closely with the core design team based in San Francisco to validate concepts and ensure
alignment with the company's high standards.
Throughout the project, I prioritized frequent communication with SVA team managers and
key stakeholders. My design approach was strictly grounded in the established Splunk
Design System, ensuring that the new tool felt native to the existing suite of
applications. By adhering to these standards while innovating on the user flow, I
successfully completed the project on time and received highly positive feedback from
leadership.
My primary workflow involved Sketch and InVision for high-fidelity mockups, complemented
by Overflow to map intricate user journeys. I also utilized ProtoPie to demonstrate
complex micro-interactions to engineers, ensuring a seamless handoff and clear technical
implementation.
Following the successful delivery of the project, my manager extended a verbal offer for
a full-time position at Splunk. Unfortunately, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic led to
a hiring freeze and the cancellation of new initiatives, preventing the role from
materializing.
