I served as the design lead for a project at Splunk's San Jose office, collaborating closely with the design team based in San Francisco to validate and refine my work.
Throughout the project, I engaged in frequent meetings with SVA team managers and stakeholders. My approach was grounded in adhering to the established design system used across Splunk's previous applications. By staying aligned with these standards, I successfully completed the project on time and received highly positive feedback.
My primary tools included Sketch and InVision, complemented by Overflow for mapping the user journey and ProtoPie for demonstrating micro-interactions to engineers. These tools helped ensure a seamless handoff and clear communication with the development team.
At the end of the project, my manager extended a verbal offer for a full-time position at Splunk. However, the onset of the COVID-19 crisis led to the cancellation of most new projects, preventing the opportunity from materializing.
